Year 3 had a fantastic day stepping back in time at the Black Country Living Museum!
We experienced life in a Victorian classroom, where we learned the 3 Rs under very strict rules and poor Mr Leahy even got the cane! The children loved exploring the Victorian and Edwardian shops (always remembering ladies first, of course!).
A real highlight was watching the blacksmith at work, where we discovered how metal chains are made, sparks flying and all.
To top it all off, we enjoyed a sunny picnic and a quick play in the park before heading home, full of stories from our trip to the past.
And of course our children were impeccably behaved as always we couldn’t be prouder!

We are really looking forward to our athlete visit tomorrow to celebrate World Athletics Day. Please can children come to school wearing their PE kit. Children will be completing a circuit during the day, you can support by sponsoring on the forms which were sent home last week and sending cash into school, or by using the QR code to donate online. All donations will go to The Great Athletes charity.

Year 3 had a fantastic time in PE this week developing their cricket skills!
We focused on striking and fielding, with the children practising how to hit the ball with control and accuracy, as well as working as a team to field quickly and effectively. There was some brilliant teamwork, great sportsmanship and lots of determination on display.
It was wonderful to see their confidence grow as the session went on, well done, Year 3!

We are so proud to share this beautiful tapestry, created by our Year 3 and Year 4 children as part of their learning on the Catholic Social Teaching principle of the Common Good. Through this collaborative artwork, the children have reflected on how we can care for one another and work together to build a fair and loving community. This will be on display for all to admire in the KS2 entrance hall.
A special thank you to Mrs McCubbin and her mum for carefully putting the tapestry together — we are so grateful for your time and support in bringing the children’s work to life.

We were excited to launch our visiting athlete in assembly this week, who will be joining us on May 7th. His name is Joel Fearon, a Team GB athlete who has competed in both sprinting and bobsleigh. Children will be bringing home sponsor forms today for the circuit they will complete with him. You can support by sponsoring on the form and sending cash into school, or by using the QR code to donate online. All donations will go to The Great Athletes charity.

On Friday we celebrated our wonderful ‘Sky Blue Day’! The excitement was everywhere as we came together to celebrate Coventry City Football Club’s championship win. Our KS2 assembly was a sea of sky blue, with everyone proudly showing their support. We reflected on how their journey is a fantastic example of resilience, determination, and hard work to achieve amazing outcomes—there is so much we can learn from them. Pupils also channelled this inspiration into creating some fantastic artwork to celebrate their success. A brilliant day full of pride and creativity!
