In amongst all the Christmas fun, Year 3 have been busy exploring poetry through their Ancient Egypt topic.
The children wrote fantastic poems using rhyming couplets, experimented with rhythm, and chose AABB or ABAB rhyme patterns. They also included onomatopoeia and carefully selected topic-specific language to bring Ancient Egypt to life. We are so proud of their creativity and hard work.

A huge well done to all of the Junior choir children who attended the Air Ambulance Carol concert last Wednesday. Once again their singing was fantastic and they raised the roof with their carol singing!
A special mention to Jayden who's solo singing of the first verse of Once in Royal David's City was a great way to start our section of singing. Also to Sofia who's solo singing of the first and last verse of Love Shone Down was beautiful.
Thank you once again to all of the parents who allowed their children to take part and for those who helped look after the children before and during the concert.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our school community for your generous foodbank donations. These are the KS2 donations - so only half of what we collected! This Advent, we once again united as a family of diocesan schools in our shared mission to support Father Hudson’s Caritas (FHC), the social care agency of our Archdiocese that provides vital help to people in need.

What a gig! Our iRock bands absolutely brought the house down! From the drummers and keyboardists to the guitarists and lead singers, every single young musician played their heart out. So much confidence and rhythm on display. Well done, everyone!

A magical evening at the Church!
We are bursting with pride following our School Carol Concert. It was a truly festive celebration of talent and community. From the beautiful singing that filled the church to the moving readings and retelling of the Christmas story, every moment was special. A huge well done to our amazing actors and dancers who brought the story to life with such confidence and joy! Most importantly, we want to mention the impeccable behaviour of all our pupils. They were polite, respectful, and true ambassadors for our school. Thank you to all the families who came to support us. It really is beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

A massive well done to all of the children in Junior Choir who attended The Manchester Carols concert at St Andrew's Church on Saturday. They shone throughout from their exemplary behaviour, smart appearance and their singing blew everyone away.. They had so many compliments. I would also like to thank the parents who brought their children to and from 2 rehearsals out of school and then to the concert itself on Saturday evening. Without your continued support I would not be able to expose your children to such lovely experiences. I would like to give an extra shout out to Ms Glover and Mrs Marcella as staff members/parents who helped, as well as Mrs Muzyka (parent) who helped during the rehearsals and intervals.
